Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L

12 03 2008

It was always my fascination to watch mecha in animation. Voltes V, Voltron, Daimos and then the Gundam Series. I haven’t been familiar with the timelines and all of the entire Gundam universe. But so far I have watched Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny and currently Gundam 00.

I also have a few kit collections that fortunately up till now haven’t had the time to assemble them. I still have an MG Freedom 1/100, HG Blitz 1/100, HG 1/100 launcher strike, and HG 1/100 Providence gundam all from the Gundam Seed universe.

An officemate of mine opened my eyes to the world of kit building. I even said to him before ” what for 1k pesos I’d still assemble that thing?.. I thought it was already a finished product”.. he then responsed by saying “the joy is in the assembly stage and not the finished stage”. Ok so I thought to myself the heck for my 1st kit I bought from him a HG 1/144 Justice Gundam (pic below). I did mess up this build since Im a total newbie, overall I was contented.

Then I read up on Gundams some more, how to assemble, paint and put a nice finish to it. I even read on how to setup a mini studio for gundam photography. The cameras used were the DSLR’s of Canon…I hope one day I can have one of these. Anyway enjoy the pics for now taken from my reliable N95 phone. Some of the pics maybe out of focus or dont have any detail since I was still experimenting with the settings. The photos are set to 3 megapixels and some of them are in close up mode.  This Gundam kit here is by far the most fragile kit I have ever encountered, parts easily fall off, there were instances even that I almost broke a part.
