I have always aspired and dreamed of becoming a great drummer in a band. Yes, other instruments / talents are appealing (e.g. vocals, bass guitar, rhythm, keyboard et al.) but for me nothing beats the rhythmic sound of a drum set playing. The emotion and the passion it brings to the crowd is priceless. One can feel the energy and the soul of certain songs when a drum is being played. Other people may object, but it would seem that taking out the drum set would mean taking out every inch of life in the song. Below is a photo of a typical drum set.
